Who is MoxieMade?

We are the makers of exceptional upholstered goods. MoxieMade is the brainchild of the interior design duo, Evars+Anderson.  After years of designing custom upholstered pieces, they have hand-picked the best sofas, sectionals, ottomans and chairs, simplifying the buying process for customers. We make killer pieces that show off our customers’ curiosity for life, their ahead-of-the-curve sensibility, and to finally cure the drudgery that comes from shopping the mass-market.

What does Moxie mean?
Definition: Sass, courage, spunk, determination, attitude
In a sentence: “That girl’s got moxie.” or “When you’ve got moxie, you need the clothes to match.”
How did you come up with that name?

The unexpected pop of color, the bit of brash taste in an otherwise traditional room—darling, that’s what makes the world interesting. We want you to find a little Moxie in your life. You can have a room that generates a story, an impact, and a reputation for having singular style. Let’s get started.

How will I know which piece to choose?

We know! We own most of the pieces ourselves!

Where can I see and sit on the furniture?

Come visit us! We have a showroom in Traditionally Derby in Menlo Park, California. Also follow us on Instagram to see when we’ll be expanding into different retail locations.

Can I make a return?

Each item is completely custom and made to order therefore, all purchases are non-returnable.


Where is your furniture made?

We’ve spent about a year traveling the country to find the highest quality manufacturers to partner with. It was very important to us that we partner with companies in the United States. Most of our pieces are manufactured in Southern California and the dining chairs are hand-crafted in North Carolina. We feel lucky to have found such amazing craftsmen and women to create these one-of-a-kind pieces. 

How is everything made?

Our manufacturing partners are committed to eco-friendly practices. Our solid hardwood frames are kiln dried and cushions are down wrapped to ensure the most comfortable seating that will last for years to come.


How do I care for my furniture?

A few things we suggest:

  • Keep out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.
  • Flip and rotate removable cushions a couples times per month. Give them a good shake-down to move fibers and feathers around and ensure even distribution.

If you experience a spill, attend to it as quickly as possible. Blot it with a dry, absorbent white cloth, then air dry. Don’t rub or use water or household cleaning solvents. Spot clean with a mild, water-free solvent or dry cleaning product. Pretest a small, inconspicuous area before proceeding.

If your piece is heavily soiled, we recommend going the professional route for best results.

We currently ship to all of United States excluding Alaska and Hawaii.

How long will it take for my furniture to arrive?

Every piece in the collection is made-to-order and shipped in 6-8 weeks (just 3-5 weeks for dining chairs!).  Each hand-crafted piece is made in the United States to ensure a quick delivery.

How will my furniture be delivered?

All our furniture is delivered through white glove delivery service.

What happens if my furniture arrives damaged?

We take every precaution to ensure your purchase is of the utmost quality and free of defects. When your purchase arrives, please inspect it carefully for any damages. If the purchase arrives damaged or defective, please contact customer service WITH IN 24 HOURS
